Modern Indian Painting can trace its roots in pre independence India when western influences started to make an impact on Indian art. A number of Indian Painters drew inspiration from the Western schools and used western principles and technique in their paintings. Raja Ravi Varma is a perfect example of such painters. Some painters like Jamini Roy made a conscious effort to keep his paintings, in both form and technique, as rooted as possible. Colonial Influence in Modern Indian Painting As stated above, the colonial hangover in Indian art was an unmistakable one, but yet there was an attempt to internalize the modern techniques and use them to depict Indian themes. Therefore, Modern Indian art can be called a phenomenon because although the artists are steeped in Western modernism, they also recount their cherished stories, or imbibe Hindu philosophy in their Modern Indian Painting can trace its roots in pre independence India when western influences started to make an impact on Indian art. The Post Independence era By the time the Indian tricolor was unruffled for the first time in Delhi in August 1947,several Art Schools with fresh and innovative ideas had been established in India. Urban India boasted of galleries for the display of individual artist’s works. Major artists like Rabindranath Tagore and Amrita Shergill were beginning to gain international reputation. Shortly after independence, a group of young enthusiastic painters decided that they needed new ways to express Independent India in the Modern World. the founder members were six very important artists, namely- K. H. Ara, S. K. Bakre, H. A. Gade, M.F. Husain, S.H. Raza and F. N. Souza. This group didn’t have a very long run (it was dissolved in 1956), but it left an idelible impact on Modern Indian Art.

Chinese Painting
AncientChinese paintings can be traced back to as early as 5,000 to 6,000 years ago, when people began to use minerals to draw simple pictures resembling animals, plants, and even human beings on rocks and produce drawings of amazing designs and decorations on the surface of potteries and laterbronzecontainers. However, only a few of the works have survived over time. The earliest drawings that have been preserved till today were produced onpaperand silk, which were burial articles with a history of over 2,000 years. As far as the subject is concerned, Chinese paintings fall into several categories, such as figure paintings, landscapes, andflower-and-bird paintings. European paintings, introduced into China in 17th century, were called "Western paintings," and the traditional local works, "the Chinese paintings." As the representative of Eastern paintings, Chinese paintings greatly differ from the Western counterpart in terms of contents, forms, and styles. The following will give you a more vivid picture of the exotic Chinese paintings.

Traditional clothing in pakistan
Despite the presence of certain conservative areas in Pakistan, one can see the effect of many cultures in the society off late. Pakistan today, shows a mix of various cultures and traditions seen in the dressing as well as food habits of a person. Pakistanis display a strong attachment to cricket (although the national sport is field hockey) and fanatics completely immerse themselves into this game. Off late, Pakistani music has also made a mark especially in India. ‘Junoon’, a Pakistani rock group has recently established its own identity in India. ‘Strings’ tasted success with their song ‘Sar Kiye Yeh Pahar’ and had many more songs to their credit following this track. Despite the success of Pakistani songs and singers (of the likes of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan) particularly in India, Indian movies face a Government ban regardless of their popularity with Pakistanis!
At Home vs Salon Hairstyling
For an abundance of people, hairstyles are simple enough to create at home for most regular day events. Seeing an expert for a cut or trim is usually the only times most of us visit the salon on a daily basis. However, for bigger occasions like weddings, proms, or meaningful events, a salon can be a huge aid to selecting, creating, and finishing off perfect hairstyles. Some people are able to dream up great looks at home, but there is a big difference when an experienced stylist can look at someone's facial feature and current hairstyle and suggest improvements or particular hairstyles that would look extremely great for everyday wear or special event exposure. Many adept stylists have access to exclusive hair care products sold only to salons and not over the counter along with various styling tools which can help build hot hairstyles or repair dull ones. Really good stylists are able to reproduce hairstyles from photos to the clients own hair. The decision to visit a salon really depends on the individual and circumstance but everyone should visit a salon for hairstyles consultation once in a while.

who are trend setters???
Trendsetters are consumers who are ahead of the curve, dictating what the mainstream sees as “cool.” They have a deep hunger for newness, and as a result, they make ideal research respondents for any company who wants to remain hip and relevant to this generation. Initial response from some clients about trendsetters tends to be: “Why would I study trendsetters? My target is the mainstream.” But trendsetter research is not about appealing to trendsetters; it’s about using trendsetters to understand where the mainstream is going. Trendsetters provide a portal to the future of your target. To identify and properly use trendsetters, it helps to define what you need from them. Some trendsetters are attitudinal leaders. These are people who live a broadly aspirational lifestyle, and have an amazing ability to articulate the shifting values of their own generation. We look to them for ideas about larger societal trends such as gender or workplace issues. Trendsetters can also be recruited to match a level of forwardness that is right for your objectives. Maybe you need the most cutting-edge trendsetter in your category, the Initiator, who lives in Brooklyn, makes his own music and clothes, and reads underground blogs created by his friends. Or maybe you need the slightly less forward Influencer, who uses the newest popular social networking tools and listens to bands that haven’t quite hit MTV, but will soon. Or maybe you need just one step up from the mainstream: the girl who fills her iPod with all the brand-new hits and buys the latest styles in the mall, only to be copied by all of her friends. We are experts at categorizing trendsetters based on these subtle differences
